Job Description

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data and reporting needs
- Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions using tools such as Tableau, Superset, Power BI, or QlikView
- Create and optimize ETL processes to ensure the smooth flow of data from various sources to the BI platform
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement
- Can perform BI migration from one BI tool to another
- Develop dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to decision-makers
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the BI and Analytics space

Roles & Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities of a BI Engineer at Impetus Technologies

1. Data Integration and ETL Processes: You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing efficient Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to integrate disparate data sources .

2. Data Modeling and Warehousing: You will be involved in creating and maintaining data models that support the company's BI needs. This includes developing and optimizing data warehouses, data marts, and OLAP cubes to provide a structured and accessible repository for analytical purposes.

3. BI Tool Administration: You will oversee the administration and maintenance of BI tools such as Tableau, Superset, Power BI, or QlikView. This involves ensuring the availability, performance, and security of these platforms to support the reporting and visualization needs of the business.

4. Report Development and Analysis: You will collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements and translate them into meaningful dashboards, reports, and visualizations. Your role will also involve modernization of customer's BI stack to latest.

5. Data Quality and Governance: You will implement data quality best practices and ensure the integrity and accuracy of the BI platform. This will involve establishing data governance policies, data profiling, and data cleansing activities to maintain high standards of data quality.

6. Performance Tuning and Optimization: You will be tasked with tuning the performance of BI queries, processes, and infrastructure to maximize efficiency and responsiveness. This will also involve monitoring system health and troubleshooting performance issues as they arise.

7. Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, and IT professionals, to understand their requirements and provide BI solutions. Your role will also involve sharing your expertise through documentation and training to empower users with BI capabilities.
