Senior IT Manager (Trading & Broking Infrastructure) Job Description

Position Title: Senior IT Manager Trading Software & Infrastructure

Job Summary:

The Senior IT Manager will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and

optimizing the IT infrastructure that supports the trading environment, including various trading

software, servers, networking, and security solutions. This role requires expertise in handling

the full spectrum of trading technologies, from software such as Kambala, Omnisys, ODIN, and

Greek Gets, to hardware management of servers, network devices, and cybersecurity. The ideal

candidate will have experience managing stock broking infrastructure, as well as deep technical

knowledge of financial exchanges and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Trading Software Management:

• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of trading platforms such as

Kambala, Omnisys, ODIN, Greek Gets, and other trading software.

• Manage TWS (Trading Workstations) for exchanges like NSE, BSE, MCX, and NCDEX.
• Ensure seamless connectivity and data flow between trading platforms and exchanges.

2. Exchange Management:

• Provide in-depth support for NSE, BSE, MCX, and NCDEX exchanges.
• Ensure smooth BOD (Beginning of Day) and EOD (End of Day) operations for trading

servers.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to exchange connectivity, trading systems, and

real-time data processing.

3. Infrastructure Management:

• Manage and maintain the stock broking infrastructure, including servers, switches,

routers, and exchange connectivity.

• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of various servers (HP, IBM,

DELL, SUPERMICRO, ASSEMBLED).

• Ensure that all Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Servers are optimally

configured and maintained.

• Handle network device configuration such as routers, L2 & L3 switches, and

firewalls.

4. Cybersecurity and Risk Management:

• Lead efforts for system audits, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and

regulatory standards.

• Manage and implement cybersecurity protocols, including network and server

hardening, patch management, and data encryption.•Document and implement IT policies to safeguard organizational assets and data.

• Maintain and manage Anti-virus solutions and consoles to ensure up-to-date

protection across all systems.

5. Storage and Backup Management:

• Oversee and manage NAS storage devices (e.g., Synology, Netgear, Dell), ensuring

high availability, performance, and security.

• Implement and monitor backup strategies, ensuring that critical data is regularly

backed up and can be recovered in case of an emergency.

6. Virtualization & Cloud Management:

• Manage VMware environments, ensuring optimal performance, resource utilization, and

high availability.

• Oversee Citrix XenServer and other virtualized infrastructures.

7. Telephony & Communication Infrastructure:

Manage telephony systems, including IVR (Interactive Voice Response), IP phones,

and EPABX systems for seamless communication within the organization.

8. Inventory and Asset Management:

• Maintain a detailed inventory of all hardware and software assets, ensuring proper

licensing and usage.

• Manage software and hardware procurement, installation, and lifecycle management.

9. Project Management & Coordination:

• Oversee IT projects related to trading infrastructure upgrades, new software

deployments, and system improvements.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure IT resources and solutions meet business

needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a

related field.

• Certifications in ITIL, VMware, Networking (CCNA/CCNP), or any other relevant

certifications are highly desirable.

2. Experience:

10+ years of experience in IT management, preferably in the stock broking or financial

trading industry.•Strong expertise in exchange connectivity and the management of trading systems and

workstations for NSE, BSE, MCX, and NCDEX.

• Proven experience in managing complex network infrastructures, including routers,

switches, and firewalls.

• Experience in cybersecurity, backup management, disaster recovery, and storage

solutions.
