Production Engineer (Optical Draw Tower)

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and manage the Optical Draw Tower in the production of optical fiber cables.
• Ensure smooth running of the optical fiber drawing process, focusing on the accurate diameter, tension, and speed control of the fiber.
• Monitor the coating process, ensuring uniform coating and correct curing in the coating floor area.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to the draw tower, such as fiber breakage, coating defects, and equipment malfunctions.
• Perform regular equipment checks and maintenance to ensure optimum performance of the draw tower.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure high-quality standards in the fiber optic cable production process.
• Ensure adherence to safety guidelines, standards, and environmental regulations during operations.
• Prepare and maintain daily production reports, documenting any issues or deviations from the standard process.
• Assist in the setup and adjustment of machinery to meet specific production requirements.
• Continuously monitor the production process and suggest improvements for efficiency and quality enhancement.
• Hands-on experience in operating Optical Draw Towers or related equipment in an optical fiber cable manufacturing plant is highly preferred.
• Experience with troubleshooting and maintenance of machinery and equipment is an advantage.
