The Technical Consultant will be expected to drive solution analysis, analyze custom components and support execution for upgrades and bugfix releases with our customers in production.
Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)
Constant learning of new features of out-of-box FINEOS product, reduce customization and promote improvements into product
Participate in analysis and impact assessments for customers going through product upgrades and bugfix releases.
Liaison with implementation team members on merging, timing and delivery strategies of major product upgrades and bugfix releases.
Participate in requirements elicitation, analyses and design, driving solution implementation and carry through to the handover of major custom components to the FINEOS Support team
Produce quality technical documentation to support the design and development process
Strong communication skills and proven ability to deliver without direct supervision [CF1]
Contribute in the creation and review of estimates around technical aspects of the solution
Ensure all aspects of good design and construction are delivered, including:
Performance, scalability, and security
Modularity, interoperability, and upgradability
Collaborate with peers within the client organization to ensure a successful delivery
Work closely with Solution Architects, Business Consultants and Software Engineers for successful completion of product upgrades and bugfix releases.
Identify and capture areas for improvement/innovation for subsequent technical consultancy service transformation
Develop an understanding and knowledge of insurance and our customers [CF2]

Education and/or Experience
5+ years working in a comparable consultancy position
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems
Development Tools: Gradle, Ant, Eclipse, JUnit, Git, Subversion
Cloud - Amazon Web Services(AWS), Cloudwatch, New Relic
Proven experience of using integration technologies such as SOA, Web API standards, SOAP and REST
Language Skills
Ability to speak the English language proficiently, both verbally and in writing.
