Digital Technologist

About the position:

Chevron seeks a skilled Digital Technologist to support prioritized initiatives for the Wells Digital Platform within the ENGINE team. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and maintenance requirements of Wells digital solutions, particularly focusing on the Run and Maintain category. The Wells Technologist will support the Wells Digital Product Lines by providing data interpretation, data mining, and data integration services to assist Product Owners and Architects in achieving their strategic delivery goals.

Key Responsibilities

• The Wells Technologist will maintain databases of solutions across all Product Lines, focusing on Run and Maintain solutions, and support architects and PLMs in developing solutions

• Additional duties include mapping and migrating data across various data platforms and assisting the Drilling, Completion, and Workover teams in managing company operations from conceptualization through design, execution, review, and optimization

• Furthermore, they will maintain records of operations, such as planning deliverables, design inputs, and post-job reports, in company records

Required Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate should have a technical college education and 5-10 years of experience in data and product management

• Experience with Wells solutions such as Wellview, Polarion, Halliburton, or SLB solutions, along with skills in PowerBI and data visualization, are highly desirable, as these tools are crucial for data mining, integration, and visualization tasks

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience will demonstrate the candidates capability and depth of knowledge in these areas

• Certifications in database management, demonstrating proficiency in handling complex data systems, are preferred

• The candidate should have at least 10 years of relevant experience, showcasing deep knowledge in the field, is preferred

• Proficiency in SQL is essential for effective data management and interpretation is preferred

• Familiarity with Drilling, Completions, Intervention software is highly desirable for efficient well-related data management is preferred

• Skills in PowerBI and data visualization are important for presenting data clearly to support decision-making are preferred

• Knowledge of tools like ServiceNow (preferred tool) for solution management is advantageous is preferred

• Additionally, familiarity with agile and project management tools such as ADO and OnePlan is beneficial is preferred
