The Technical Manager Developer Experience role within the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) is responsible for driving key initiatives that impact the entire CTO organization.
This role involves managing various cross functional initiatives and helping streamlines the processes, while bringing out efficiencies.
The Technical Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, drive innovation, and champion the integration of key platforms & solutions across the organization.
What Youll Own.
Working closely with OCTO Leadership team, Engineering, Technology, service delivery and/or other cross-functional teams as part of managing initiatives driven by OCTO organization.
Hands on Technical Manager/Architect who can write code, architect solutions and develop the best technical design & approach for new initiatives.
Ability to manage existing products & platforms focusing on continuous improvement.
Work closely with senior engineers & architects and provide technical guidance for systems and process optimization opportunities.
Project Management experience and ability to manage daily activities of the?development?team.
Instill best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.
Assess compliance, risks, and vulnerabilities to ensure all systems and baselines are operationally sound, performant at scale, and exceed customer expectations.
Support growth of engineers via hiring, goal setting, development of individual development plans, and performance reviews.
Collaborate with peer teams on complex, global engineering efforts to ensure architecture agreement, resource coordination, and implementation timelines.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.
Ensure proper communication concerning changes in established milestones or challenges that may affect the outcomes.

What You Bring.
12+ years of hands-on development experience with multiple skillsets including Java/.
Net/Python covering Application/Backend, UI/Frontend platforms.
Fintech/payments domain expertise.
Strong understanding/expertise in building solutions using AI & Cloud Technologies.
Strong experience working with GitHub Copilot.
Strong experience in REST APIs/ Micro services architecture.
Strong experience using Design Patterns to solve problems.
Extensive experience in DevOps with GIT Hub, Maven, Gradle, Kubernetes, and other CI/CD Platforms.
Proven experience in the field of architecture design, developments, and deployment of applications both on-premises and on Cloud.
Excellent communication & presentation skills.
Good understanding of SAFE agile principles & experience working with Scrum/Kanban agile methodology.
Experience organizing training initiatives for departments within the company.
Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other departments.
Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple organizational initiatives and encourage coworkers to do the same.
People management experience with team of for 10+ individuals (3+ yrs).
Cloud Development and Software architecture Experience (3+ yrs).
Open to learning new technologies.
Ability and flexibility to align with organizational priorities.
Added Bonus If You Have.
GenAI implementation experience.
Data analytics skills using tools like Excel/PowerBI/Tableau.
