We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to lead and oversee our AR team within a dynamic travel company. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of credit card processing, batching, and the unique financial operations of the travel industry. This role is critical in managing the company s cash flow, ensuring accurate and timely collection of receivables, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, internal stakeholders and financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Receivable Management:
  • Oversee the end-to-end accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
  • Lead and mentor the AR team, providing guidance on complex transactions and resolving escalated issues.
  • Monitor and manage the AR aging report, ensuring prompt follow-up on overdue accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records of all AR transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with the sales, operation team and customer service teams to resolve any billing disputes or discrepancies.
  • Controlling end-to-end payments, data and financial transaction.
  • Credit Card Processing:
  • Manage the daily credit card processing operations, including batching, settlements, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure that all credit card transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor and reconcile credit card payment batches, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Work with payment processors and banks to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to credit card transactions.
  • Industry-Specific Financial Operations:
  • Leverage knowledge of the travel industry to manage AR processes related to travel bookings, refunds, and cancellations.
  • Implement and oversee processes for handling complex billing arrangements, such as group travel and corporate accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices in financial operations and reporting.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare and present regular reports on AR performance, including key metrics such as DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), cash flow, and credit risk.
  • Analyze AR data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the AR function.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to credit card processing and travel finance operations.
  • Lead or participate in finance-related projects aimed at improving financial controls and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s or Master degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable management, with a focus on credit card processing and batching.
  • Experience in the travel industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial operations, including AR processes, credit management, and cash flow management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Dynamic 365, Blackline) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to mentor and develop staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
