Senior Fashion Designer

Design young contemporary ladieswear and resort wear.

Responsibilities:

Design and Concept Development:
Research and analyze current fashion trends, fabrics, and styles.
Develop original design concepts for young contemporary ladieswear and resort wear collections.
Create mood boards, sketches, and technical drawings to communicate design ideas.
Present design concepts to the Design Director and/or Creative Director for review and approval.
Sketching and Technical Drawings:
Create detailed fashion illustrations and technical drawings, including garment specifications, construction details, and fabrications.
Develop accurate and precise pattern specifications.
Fabric and Trim Selection:
Research and source appropriate fabrics, trims, and embellishments for designs.
Evaluate fabric quality, texture, and suitability for specific garments.
Collaborate with fabric suppliers and vendors.
Sample Development:
Work closely with pattern makers and sample sewers to develop prototypes and samples.
Oversee the sample development process, ensuring that designs are executed accurately and to the desired quality standards.
Attend sample fittings and provide feedback on garment construction and fit.
Trend Forecasting:
Stay up-to-date on emerging fashion trends and identify key influences for upcoming seasons.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform design decisions.
Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with other members of the design team, including junior designers, pattern makers, sample sewers, and production staff.
Communicate design ideas clearly and concisely.
Production Liaison:
Work closely with the production team to ensure that designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
Provide technical specifications and garment details to the production team.
