DFA Engineer

Summary:
The DFA Engineer is responsible for evaluating product designs and processes to ensure they are optimized for assembly and manufacturing. This includes analysing designs, recommending improvements, and working closely with cross-functional teams to implement changes that reduce complexity, cost, and production time while maintaining product quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse product designs to identify potential assembly issues and recommend design modifications to improve manufacturability.
• Conduct DFA analysis and provide feedback to design teams to simplify product assembly and reduce production cost.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure DFA principles are integrated into new product designs from the early stages of development.
• Coordinate with design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of DFA principles.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on assembly feasibility and manufacturability.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure that parts and components are designed and manufactured to meet DFA standards.
• Create and maintain DFA guidelines, standards, and best practices documentation.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 requirements.

Position will report to: Project Manager DFM
Experience:

• Self-motivated and result-oriented team player with 1– 5 Years of experience in DFA or related role.

Qualifications & Prerequisites:

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics /Telecom /EEE. / B.Sc-Electronics
• Strong understanding of DFA principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in any of the CAD Software & DFA analysis tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• High attention to detail to ensure precision and accuracy in design evaluations and recommendations.

• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations relevant to the specific industry (e.g., ISO, IPC).
