Job Overview:
Furnisys is seeking a Business Development Engineer to join our sales team and support our Senior Sales Engineer in expanding our client base and fostering strategic relationships. The role will involve lead generation, market research, and sales support, all executed in an agile work environment to maintain flexibility and responsiveness to market needs
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation and Market Research:
• Proactively identify potential clients and new business opportunities in target industries, with a focus on quickly iterating based on market feedback.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis, using insights to prioritize and qualify leads that align with our business strategy.
• Collaborate with Rahul to review lead generation effectiveness in regular agile check-ins, adjusting focus as needed.
2. Sales Support and Client Engagement:
• Prepare customized presentations, technical documents, and case studies to support client meetings led by the Senior Sales Engineer.
• Adapt sales materials and engagement strategies based on short-cycle feedback from the sales team, ensuring they remain relevant and aligned with client needs.
• Participate in agile-style team updates (e.g., daily or weekly) to communicate progress and gather input on client requirements.
3. Market and Competitive Analysis:
• Gather insights on industry trends and competitor offerings, sharing findings with the sales team to inform strategic adjustments.
• Provide agile feedback loops to the sales and product teams, enabling quick pivots in messaging or strategy based on market data and client feedback.
4. Collaborative Client Relationship Building:
• Support the Senior Sales Engineer in nurturing early-stage clients relationships, maintaining agility to address initial questions or interest.
• Engage with clients as needed, collecting feedback that can be used to inform product positioning and enhance our sales approach.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience: 1–3 years in business development or sales within a B2B environment; exposure to agile practices is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to adapt based on real-time feedback.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to support agile collaboration.
• Proficiency in CRM tools; familiarity with agile tools (e.g., Trello, Slack) is beneficial.
