Automation Test Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java for web applications.
• Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable automation frameworks.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze test results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
• Work closely with QA and development teams to identify test scenarios, prioritize testing efforts, and troubleshoot issues.
• Create automated test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and API testing.
• Debug and optimize test scripts for reliability and efficiency.
• Update test scripts as per application changes to ensure accuracy.
• Execute automated test cases and analyze results.
• Log and track defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Generate and share test reports detailing test coverage, results, and defect findings.
• Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate testing processes.
  
  

Candidate Requirement:

• B.Sc/ BE/B.Tech- IT, Computer Science
• 2+ years of experience in test automation using Selenium Webdriver with Java
• Strong programming skills in Java, including object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns.
• Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and DOM manipulation.
• Experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks (e.g., Page Object Model, TestNG, JUnit).
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and principles.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle).

Technical Skill:

• Programming Languages

I. Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for test automation:

II. Primary: Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.

• Test Automation Tools

I. UI Testing: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium.

II. API Testing: Postman (for manual testing), RestAssured, Karate, SoapUI.

III. Performance Testing: JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner.

IV. BDD Tools: Cucumber

• Framework Development

I. Experience in creating and maintaining test automation frameworks:

II. Keyword-driven, data-driven, and hybrid frameworks.

III. Page Object Model (POM) design pattern for UI automation.

IV. Custom libraries to enhance automation functionality.
