As a member of the Firewall team, youll be responsible for designing & developing features and components of highly scalable, distributed?and high performing carrier grade software solutions that ensure private, secure communications.
You are also responsible for supporting the customers by resolving the issues reported and providing maintenance releases as needed.
Working very closely with architects, leads, cross-functional teams and other stakeholders, you will strengthen F5s security technology offerings.
Primary Responsibilities.
Design, implement, unit test components of Firewall modules (DPI,NAT,DOS).
Build tools and infrastructure to improve these F5s components and features.
Work with different development and test teams to achieve best quality.
Set an example of software design and development innovation and excellence.
Stay up-to-date on relevant technologies, understand trends and opportunities to select appropriate tools & techniques.
Essential.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities.
Deep understanding of data structures & algorithm.
Expert in C, C++.
Expertise in Linux user level programming.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Good understanding of network security Firewall modules (DPI, NAT,DOS).
Understanding of OS internals.
Nice-to-have.
Prior experience developing Firewall modules.
Fair understanding of network protocols like TCP, UDP, IP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, FTP etc Experience with CI/CD (git, pipeline etc).
Prior exposure with containers and micro services.
Qualifications.
Requires a minimum of 5 years related experience with a Bachelor of Engineering in ECE/Computers or 3 years experience with ME/MTech in ECE/Computers.
Excellent organizational agility and interpersonal skills throughout the organization.
Ability to work flexible hours for better collaboration with International teams.
