Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Field Engineer - R&D to join our team, focusing on the development and enhancement of our cutting-edge underwater drones. This position requires hands-on development work both in the lab and on-site to tackle technical challenges and improve product performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct development activities in lab and on site to identify and resolve technical issues
- Independently analyze and diagnose complex problems using strong logical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Develop innovative solutions and improvements to enhance the performance and field reliability of EyeROV Products.
- Collaborate with the R&D team and Operations team to provide feedback and contribute to product/service development based on on-site observations and findings.
- Document findings, solutions, and best practices for field troubleshooting and knowledge sharing.
- Provide technical training and support to customers and field service teams as needed.
- Travel to various customer sites PAN India and abroad to perform product demonstrations and on-site troubleshooting / issue resolution independently.
- Requires field/site presence for testing, validating, and debugging the products developed, while also providing support to the operations team to ensure seamless product deployment and functionality in real-world environments
Skills Required :
- Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking abilities.
- Basic programming knowledge (C/C++, Python, JavaScript etc) and familiarity with embedded systems.
- Solid understanding of hardware components and systems.
- Knowledge of Linux, ROS/ROS2, Networking protocols like TCP/UDP is an advantage.
- Excellent documentation skills, including the ability to write clear and concise technical documents and reports.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Willingness and ability to perform field operations at inland and offshore sites and travel within India as well as abroad.
- Willingness to travel in short notice to field operations site
Experience
- 0-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in robotics, drone, automation industries.
Qualification
- B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering or related field
