ADAS Automation Tester Python-Chennai

Overview

We are looking for a Python Automation Engineer ADAS to develop and implement automated test solutions for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The candidate will be responsible for designing automation frameworks, developing test scripts, and ensuring the efficiency of ADAS validation processes. This role involves working closely with system engineers, software developers, and validation teams to streamline testing and improve coverage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based test automation frameworks for ADAS validation.
• Automate test execution for HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) environments.
• Implement data-driven and keyword-driven automation techniques for scalable testing.
• Write Python scripts to automate test case execution, data logging, and report generation.
• Work with simulation tools (CarMaker, PreScan, VTD, dSPACE) to validate ADAS features in virtual environments.
• Perform real-time debugging and issue tracking for ADAS automation workflows.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) to integrate automated tests into the development cycle
• Improve test execution efficiency by optimizing Python scripts and automation workflows.
• Enhance system performance by reducing manual efforts through intelligent automation techniques.
• Contribute to test coverage expansion by automating edge-case scenarios for ADAS featu

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related fields

Essential skills

• Programming: Strong expertise in Python for automation scripting and tool development.
• Testing Tools: Experience with dSPACE ControlDesk, NI VeriStand, CANoe, CANalyzer for ADAS validation.
• ADAS Knowledge: Understanding of ADAS features and sensor technologies (LiDAR, RADAR, Camera, Ultrasonic Sensors).
• Automation Frameworks: Hands-on experience with Robot Framework, PyTest, or custom Python frameworks.
• CI/CD Integration: Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, Docker for test automation in continuous integration pipelines.

Experience

5 - 7 years of Python based automation testing with focus on ADAS based feature validations.
