Job Description
Android Developer Experience
5+ years.
Job Purpose - We are seeking a skilled and passionate Android Developer to join our dynamic mobile development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mobile application development, with a deep understanding of Android SDK, Kotlin/Java, and modern development tools.
- Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin/Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, and back-end) to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following Android best practices.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Fix bugs and improve application performance.
- Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, tools, and frameworks.
- Work with version control tools like Git.
- Optimize code for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages.
- Solid understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack components, and Android architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVI).
- Familiarity with Android Studio, Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of mobile app testing frameworks and practices (JUnit, Espresso, etc.).
- Proficient understanding of version control systems (Git).
- Experience working on large scale enterprise apps
- Experience working on APM SDK Integrations (Eg Datadog/ Newrelic/Sentry etc)
- Familiarity in Local caching & persistence mechanisms.
- Experience in CMS Integrations ,Push Notifications (FCM)
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to think critically.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers.
- Self-driven, with a strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools like Jira.
- Exposure in integration with Crash Analysis SDK s
- Integrations with Bluetooth Classic /LE Protocols
- Exposure in Mapping Software (Map pins, poly lines, geo fencing etc)
- Experience creating and, managing and debugging long running services
- Exposure in Urban Airship integration.
- Should be willing to work in US Shift timings.
