TRL India allows a hybrid work approach, either working from Home or from office space shared by Experion Technologies (a globally known software technology firm) in Infopark, Kochi. TRL has closer to 200 employees based in UK and 6 employees based in India, supported by around 100 IT professionals provided by Experion Technologies to deliver TRL Software products across the globe. Across various units in TRL (UK, India & other geographies), we work as One Team.

Job Description

TRL is looking for a dynamic candidate in India to lead business development and drive business growth, develop client relationships, and expand our market presence. This role requires a strong background in transport consulting, good sales acumen, and the ability to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate should have 10 to 15 years of experience in business development in road transport consulting environment having engaged client organisations like MoRTH, NHAI, State PWDs, Transport Departments and similar agencies abroad (not essential) in opportunities funded by multi-lateral agencies like World Bank and ADB.

Key responsibilities:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding our client base in both public and private sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, transport operators, and private sector clients.
• Lead proposal development, including responding to RFPs & EOIs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align service offerings with market needs and client requirements.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and business opportunities.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand awareness.
• Meet and exceed sales targets, tracking performance metrics and adjusting strategies as needed.

The successful candidate will be based in Delhi or Kochi/Trivandrum. They will be expected to travel to different States in India and abroad to meet clients and closely work with colleagues in UK office and other international locations.
