Senior Frontend Developer - React.js/Next.js (3-6 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our Data Science team, which is transforming investment research methodologies by integrating quantitative insights and data analysis. In this role, you will lead the development of user interfaces for various investment-related applications and analytics infrastructure, enabling our public markets and private equity teams to make data-driven investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities :

- UI Development : Design and implement responsive, intuitive user interfaces using NextJS/ReactJS.

- Collaboration : Work with stakeholders to translate requirements into effective UI designs and partner with backend teams for seamless API integration.

- Best Practices & Standards : Establish and enforce frontend development best practices, ensuring code quality and performance.

- Data Visualisation : Develop tools for data insights using libraries like Highcharts.

- Optimisation & Code Quality : Enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability through modular architecture and reusable components.

- Architecture & Code Reviews : Design scalable solutions, explore innovative approaches, and ensure quality through comprehensive code reviews.

- Documentation & Testing : Maintain clear documentation and implement robust testing strategies.

- Ownership : Manage frontend development from ideation to production.

Basic Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field Tier I Institute .

- 3+ years of experience in frontend development.

- Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and frameworks like NextJS/ReactJS.

- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile methodologies

- Experience with advanced frontend libraries and frameworks (e.g., ag-grid, highcharts).

- Good understanding of UI/UX principles and design best practices.

- Proficient in design systems and component libraries (e.g. Material-UI or Ant Design).

- Skilled in building responsive and cross-browser, cross-platform compatible web applications.

- Knowledge of software security principles and performance optimization techniques.

- Familiarity with Docker and deployments for Frontend Apps.

- Implement and maintain automated tests to ensure the reliability and quality of front-end code.

- Demonstrable work through Github or websites hosted as part of learnings is a plus
