Account Executive

Role & responsibilities

1. Trade Receivables Handling and Analysis:

• Manage trade receivables, ensuring timely collections, reconciliations, and accurate reporting.
• Prepare Daily/monthly/quarterly MIS reports related to sales, highlighting receivables status, overdue amounts, aging analysis, and cash flow forecasts.
• Perform in-depth analysis of receivable balances to identify trends, cash collection efficiency, and potential areas of improvement.
• Coordinate with sales teams to resolve discrepancies related to customer payments.
• Support the month-end closing process, ensuring accurate receivable balances are reported in financial statements.

2. Trade Payables Handling and Analysis:

• Oversee the trade payable function, ensuring timely payments and proper accounting of liabilities.
• Prepare MIS reports related to purchase transactions, including vendor payments, outstanding payables, and aging reports.
• Perform regular analysis on trade payables, ensuring accuracy of payment schedules, vendor discrepancies, and adherence to payment terms.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure that payment terms and conditions are followed accurately.
• Assist in maintaining relationships with vendors by resolving payment-related issues promptly.

3. Management Information System (MIS) Preparation:

• Generate and maintain MIS reports related to sales (Trade Receivables) and purchases (Trade Payables), providing insights on financial performance and liquidity.
• Ensure the timely preparation and distribution of reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends.
• Assist in improving reporting tools and dashboards to provide a comprehensive view of receivables and payables.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: M.Com or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-4 years of experience in trade receivables, payables, financial reporting, and analysis.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in SAP B1 is highly preferred, with strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and financial modeling).
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, trade receivables, and payables processes.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data, providing actionable insights.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact across departments (sales, procurement, senior management).
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling financial data and preparing reports.
