Role & responsibilities

• Calculating GST liabilities for the organization, including SGST, CGST, and IGST, based on transactions and sales
• Verifying and ensuring that invoices from suppliers and vendors are correctly formatted and contain all required GST-related information
• Managing and reconciling ITC claims, ensuring compliance with GST laws and regulations
• Preparing and filing GST returns, including GSTR-1 (outward supplies), GSTR-3B (monthly summary), and annual returns
• Maintaining organized records of GST-related documents, including invoices, returns, and ITC records
• Ensuring compliance with GST rules and regulations, and addressing any compliance issues promptly
• Assisting with internal and external GST audits, providing the necessary documentation and records
• Coordinating with GST authorities, addressing notices or queries, and facilitating inspections if required
• Preparing and maintaining documentation related to GST registrations, returns, and other compliance matters
• Staying updated with GST laws and regulations and conducting training sessions for other team members
• Preparing detailed GST reports and summaries for HOD
• Monitoring and interpreting changes in GST regulations and advising management on their implications
• Leading or overseeing GST audits and investigations, including managing interactions with authorities
• Collaborating with vendors and customers to ensure GST compliance in transactions

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Com/ M.Com
• 4-6 years of hands-on experience in indirect tax, particularly GST
• Strong understanding of GST laws and regulations
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Proficiency in SAP HANA, MS Office and tax-related software
