Job Title: Bioinformatics Application/ R Shiny Developer

Job Description:

Your Tasks:

• Use your bioinformatics expertise to extend an R Shiny application with novel analytical features, e.g., for RNA-Seq, variant calling, or epigenetic data.
• Implement R code to support the analytical and statistical capabilities of the application.
• Create intuitive & interactive visualizations, summarizing key insights from the data.

Essential Requirements:

• BSc or MSc in Bioinformatics, Software Engineering, or similar.
• At least one year of experience working with RShiny and more than 2 years of experience working with R.
• Bioinformatics domain expertise in one of the following areas: RNA-Seq, variant calling, or epigenetics.
• DevOps mindset: you build it, you run it, and take ownership.
• Self-motivated and reliable.
• Experience with basic software development tools such as Docker, Git, Jira, etc.
• Knowledge of statistical testing and ability to create intuitive visualizations.

Desirable Traits:

• Experience writing bioinformatics pipelines, ideally with Nextflow.
• Experience with cloud computing (AWS).
