Print Designer

Role & responsibilities

• Strong ability to execute print/pattern in repeat format
• Thorough knowledge of Adobe CC/2014 programs including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
• Works with Textile Design Manager and Design team to help create original prints, modify bought artwork from print vendor or vintage
• Prepares artwork for production by colour-separating and cleaning in Photoshop
• Responsible for matching seasonal colour palettes and executing colour ways.
• Collaborating and brainstorming with the creative team to define design briefs and requirements.
• Researching concepts, designs, reference material, and similar work.
• Rendering and presenting design mockups for revision and feedback.
• Implementing feedback revision and creating final designs for printing.
• Reviewing and proofreading designs to ensure that copy, layout, and dimensions are print-ready.
• Overseeing the printing process to ensure color quality and consistency.
• Managing the timelines and workflow of print design projects.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in graphic design, visual arts, or related field.
• Expertise of print and textile designs and techniques, has the ability to paint and draw and develop prints for furnishings and wallpapers.
• A minimum of two years' experience as a print designer or a similar role.
• Proficiency in design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Experience in producing a range of printed materials including catalogs, textile prints, and magazine designs.
• The ability to manage multiple design projects and perform under pressure.
• Willingness to learn new design software and techniques.
