Associate Manager - Active Ingredients (AI)

The employee will be responsible for the lab activities as well as Technical Service support to local & regional customers.

The employee should be an active team member for projects in Personal care industry involving Active Ingredients such as ceramides, bioactive, delivery systems, botanicals.

Lab Projects : Generate new ideas, develop such ideas using existing lab facilities & Evonik s Active ingredients. Perform projects with customers to commercialize new applications, technical advantages of Evonik s products in various applications related Personal care. In-depth understanding of formulating Active Ingredients into a wide range of different cosmetic products (Leave-on and rinse-off, face & body etc) and knowledge of different product forms/galenics (emulsions, water-based systems, solids, oils etc.)

Technical Service : Support Customers by responding to enquiries, complaints and visiting them to give presentations, product promotion and provide plant assistance as well as travelling both domestic and international as needed.

Competition : Identify competition products vis- -vis ingredients from Evonik and evaluate to generate competitive data for various applications/industries.

Market Trends : Identify market trends, survey the market potential for Active Ingredients in India and publish a report on the same.

Trade Shows : Active participation with active ingredients technical expertise at exhibitions, fairs, conferences, conventions etc.

Training : Provide technical training of traditional/new applications in labs for Sales & Marketing colleagues and Distributors / Customers.

Communication : Active participation in global projects as team member by Webex, tele-conferences, group discussions & projects.

Reporting : Technical Reports, Lab Reports, News Letters / Posters for promoting New Products or Ideas.

Education: B.Tech/M. Tech in Cosmetics or Master s degree in Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering (or equivalent in any field related to Technology)

Experience: Min. 10 years of experience in Application/ Technical Service lab of Personal Care specialty chemicals company or FMCG.

Hands on experience in active ingredients formulation will be preferred, ideally in one or more of listed areas ceramides, bioactives, botanicals, delivery systems formulation laboratory.

Additional knowledge in cosmetic regulatory standards will be an added advantage.
