D365 Technical Consultant

A Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) Technical Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and customizing the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations platform for businesses. This role requires a deep understanding of both the technical and functional aspects of D365 F&O, enabling the consultant to provide tailored solutions that meet the business needs of their clients.

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in X++ (the primary programming language for D365 F&O customization and development).
• Experience with Power Platform (PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate) for developing reports and workflows.
• Knowledge of Azure services and cloud computing principles (especially related to D365 F&O).
• Experience with LCS (Lifecycle Services) for deployment and monitoring of D365 F&O.
• Familiarity with AIF (Application Integration Framework) for data integration.
• Solid understanding of SQL Server, SSRS, and SSIS for reporting and data integration tasks.

Functional Knowledge:

• Knowledge of the core D365 F&O modules, such as Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Retail, Procurement, and more.
• Ability to integrate D365 F&O with other systems (e.g., CRM, third-party software, and other Microsoft solutions).
• Strong understanding of the business processes that D365 F&O supports, such as financial management, order processing, and inventory management.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to interact with clients and team members.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to focus on both the high-level architecture and the minute technical details.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience:

• Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate).
• Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies for project delivery.
• Previous work in consulting, particularly in D365 F&O implementations.
• Experience with PowerShell, Data Management Framework (DMF), and Data Entity in D365 F&O.

Educational Requirements:

• A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification in Microsoft Dynamics 365 or related technologies is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to travel (if necessary) for on-site client interactions.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) in D365 F&O.
