Job Summary

Reporting directly to the HR Operations Director (EMEIA) this role will serve as a critical HR facilitator and leader for all Ingersoll Rand Brands and Divisions across India. This role will lead a team of HR professionals, (both directly and dotted line) as they deliver high-quality HR solutions for leaders, managers, and associates in each of Ingersoll Rand s operating units with associates in these regions. The role holder will be the representative for HR on the Indian Management Committee.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively Line Manage the HR Operational team, provide support for local HR leaders in the provision of the HR advisory service and support the local HR Teams in expertise on local unions
  • Work with the relevant HR Business Partner and country management teams on the execution of business priorities. Some in country HR teams report to business partners outside of the country, so this role is crucial to facilitating a one Ingersoll Rand proposition to employees.
  • Work with Centres of Excellence to drive effective HR solutions to attract, hire, engage, performance manage, reward, and develop talent within IR policy and guidelines and relevant legislation and regulations for India
  • Create and maintain country policies and procedures across a comprehensive range of HR solutions
  • Train Local HR team to ensure compliance to country processes and policies and with outside counsel train the Local HR team on Labour Employment Law/regulations and update processes as changes occur - Advise the business on the impact and cost of their decisions
  • Monitor monthly HR KPI data for Country, producing reports and statistics for senior management
  • Work alongside Business Partners to execute the annual salary review process. Coordinating completion of documentation for country
  • Keep up-dated with employee legislative matters in country and drive recommend changes to company policy from Local HR leaders to ensure compliance

Basic Qualifications

  • Professional HR qualification
  • Bachelor s degree in human resources, or equivalent. A PG diploma in Human Resources.
  • Previous board experience would be useful

Travel Work Arrangements/Requirements

Site based in Bangalore with flexibility/hybrid working and expected travel across India.

  • Proven track record in adaptability flexibility with dealing with multiple varied stakeholders. This role has many different businesses in its territory. We are looking for a skilled matrix leader who can balance the various agendas and deliver a consistent employee experience across India
  • Expertise in Indian employment legislation
  • Skilled in change management and retention plans especially in the context of MA or restructuring plans
  • Ensure high standards of HR ensuring compliance with employment and labour legislation and regulation
  • Demonstrated success in advising and influencing management teams in country/s under remit
  • Ability and skill to analyse, evaluate and report HR information and data to inform management decisions
