Digital Asset Management Specialist - Immediate Joiner

Role & responsibilities

• Verifies and attributes metadata to assets.
• Assists DAM Manager in developing new asset management processes to increase efficiency.
• Assists DAM Manager with training internal and external partners on DAM best practices.
• Assists DAM Manager in DAM projects as necessary.
• Supports user questions and triages issues as needed.
• Support the DAM Manager in the implementation of a new DAM system
• Assist in creating documentation for DAM system management, processes, and training
• Assist with applying metadata to digital assets
• Fulfill miscellaneous asset requests across the organization
• Serve as a subject matter expert in metadata and digital asset management, liaising with users or teams as needed
• Contribute to governance groups related to DAM and actively participate in planning efforts

Preferred candidate profile

• 2+ years of supporting DAM within a creative department or creative agency
• Degree in librarianship, informatics, data science, or comparable experience
• Comfortable working with and implementing metadata standards and taxonomies
• Basic level of understanding of Mac OS, Adobe Creative Suite, and other creative tools
• Experience in records management or digital asset management
• Detail-oriented with a focus on wholistic cataloging
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Demonstrative skills in writing documentation
• Ability to analyze processes and recommend changes to enhance DAM efficiency
• Proven ability to manage multiple workflows
• Initiative-driven in a dynamic environment
• Any experience with Atlassian tools would be useful
