QA Engineer

REPORTING TO: Senior Manager

OVERALL OBJECTIVES:

Eurofins IT Solutions India Pvt Ltd (EITSI) is a fully owned subsidiary of Eurofins and functions as a Global Software Delivery Center exclusively catering to Eurofins Global IT business needs. The code shipped out of EITSI impacts the global network of Eurofins labs and services.

The primary focus at EITSI is to develop the next generation LIMS (Lab Information Management system), Customer portals, e-commerce solutions, ERP/CRM system, Mobile Apps & other B2B platforms for various Eurofins Laboratories and businesses. The candidate is expected to:

• Deliver high quality IT software by oneself and together with the team (including, tests, documentation).
• Promote high quality engineering of the target solutions.
• Embrace Agile practices.
• Use sound software engineering practices and state-of-art development methodologies - so-called Agile - so as to ensure superior quality.
• Create and maintain technical and operational documentation that describes program code, logic, changes, and corrections for assigned functions.
• Develop working relationships within the wider Eurofins IT community and with select Eurofins user groups.

SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS:

Responsibilities:

• Translate test cases to automation script using C# for GUI / API tests
• Adhere to coding standard and guidelines defined for automation
• Perform manual testing of web-based applications, web services in a client-server environment.
• Should be proactive in working for both manual and automation testing.
• Should have good understanding of web-based architecture and should manage to debug any web or server error.
• Understanding of functional, Database, Sanity, Functional, End-to-End integration and Regression testing independently adhering to SCRUM guidelines.
• Review code and fix any issue identified in scheduled automation runs.
• Perform root cause analysis of script failures/logged Bugs.
• Submit and track automation identified defects.
• Identify automatable test cases in existing test suite and help in planning for automation.
• Test data setup & Test execution of the automated Test cases
• Provide effective communication to QA Manager/Lead regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and performance to plan
• Contribute to delivery in accordance with project scope/delivery dates.
• Adhere to the test strategies and test plans to ensure that product delivered is of high quality.
• Work collaboratively with all stakeholders like Development, QA, Project Manager, BA and onsite teams for successful test coverage and quality.
• Escalate and follow-up in a timely manner about all blocking issues and issue deviation from SOP s etc.
• Very good knowledge in SDLC and STLC process.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience:

• 5-6 years of experience with Manual/Automation testing in software solutions
• Experience with business requirements, technical analysis, testing, and implementation of configurations within software environment

Technology skills:

• Solid knowledge in automation testing.
• 4-6 Years of experience in Automation and Manual Testing.
• Good experience in C#
• Experience in testing web services, REST APIs.
• Hand-on experience in Services testing tools like Fiddler, SOAP UI, POSTMAN.
• Strong understanding of SQA methodologies
• Good knowledge in Database & SQL. Ability to create & mine data using SQL queries
• Experience in any automation tools like Selenium, Protractor, Playwright etc.
• Exposure to create Automation framework like Modular, BDD, POM etc.
• Knowledge and experience in TFS/MTM.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and working experience in agile environment.
• Experience in Test data setup across multiple modules & ability to understand the data dependencies
• Should have good knowledge of Defect Management process.
• Knowledge in testing web services is desirable.

Methodology skills

• ATDD, TDD

Other skills:

• Prior experience in industrial settings, and especially with Laboratory processes, is a plus.
