TITLE: Software Engineer

REPORTING TO: Manager

WORKING LOCATION : Bangalore (IN)

OVERALL OBJECTIVES :

• As a BI team , you need to contribute as Business Intelligence developer along with other developers of the BI team. In this role, you would also need to be able to design and develop the BI landscape and have the application implemented alongside the team members. The project leverages agile practices and uses Microsoft BI technologies (Microsoft PowerBI, MS SQL Server, MS SQL Server Reporting Services, MS SQL Server Integration Services) to satisfy the business BI needs.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop the product for reliability, scalability, consistency & resilience.
2. Contribute the BI landscape and have it reviewed and approved from group.
3. Perform R&D and find appropriate solutions based on the need of the hour.
4. Gather requirements from end-users and perform product review on timely basis.
5. Work with other developers in developing and testing of projects.
6. Own the complete development lifecycle and contribute to the delivery of high quality software by oneself and together with the team (including requirement gathering, design, code, tests, deploy, documentation).
7. Establish performance baselines and monitoring tools that help in predictive troubleshooting of the product.
8. Work with system administrators and end users to investigate any production issues.

REQUIRED PROFILE:

Experience:

• Minimum 2-3 years experience working in Business Intelligence.
• Minimum 2-3 years experience as DataWarehouse/Reporting development.
• Minimum 2-3 years experience working on Microsoft PowerBI.
• Experience in Microsoft Azure Data/BI Services namely Azure Data warehouse, PaaS, IaC, Automation, PowerBI etc
• Designed / Owned / implemented DWH solution for one or more projects.
• Experience in ETL technologies and MS Integration services.
• Experience of MS SQL Server Reporting Services & Analysis services.
• Worked with SCRUM process and guidelines.
• Good knowledge on services, application layers, design practices and system architecture.
