Estimation Engineer - HVAC

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Review all plans and specifications prior to taking-off and quoting projects.
• Provide accurate take-offs and quotes.
• Maintain CRM program with accurate records of project information and status.
• Keep outside/inside salespeople up-to-date on project bid status.
• Make sure that all bids are provided to the customers in a timely manner.
• Reach out to general contractors and architects and find main point of contact for proactive bidding.
  

Education / Experience Requirement

• Mechanical Engineering degree.
• HVAC course completion is preferable.
• Previous estimating experience is preferable.
• Previous bidding experience is not mandatory, but highly preferred.
  

Specific Skills Required

• Excellent English Communication skills required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and capable of learning and using company proprietary software programs and vendor supplied pricing programs.
• Strong data entry skills, alpha and numeric.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented, and organized.
• Ability to read and understand architectural and mechanical drawings.
• Critical thinking and problem solving.
