The responsibilities mentioned ensure that the Symantec DLP and Seclore DRM/Seclore Data Classification systems are maintained, optimized, and secure, while also addressing any issues to minimize operational disruptions.

Symantec DLP (Data Loss Prevention)

• Upgrade and Maintenance:
• Perform server and agent upgrades for Symantec DLP as required.
• Take necessary server and database backups, ensuring continuity and data protection.
• Ensure smooth daily operations of Symantec DLP servers and agents.
• Agent Management:
• Monitor agent status and troubleshoot connectivity issues with agents.
• Resolve any agent reporting issues on the console and ensure agents are reporting correctly.
• Policy Development and Fine-tuning:
• Develop and implement policies for monitoring, detecting, discovering, and blocking confidential data being shared outside the organization.
• Fine-tune existing DLP policies to reduce false positives and optimize the number of true positives, enhancing system efficiency.
• Incident Management:
• Tag and categorize incidents based on the response flow outlined in the incident management framework.
• Highlight and track top violators to improve response efforts.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
• Address and resolve Symantec DLP-related issues to avoid production impact.
• Investigate and fix vulnerabilities related to the product, ensuring timely remediation with reference to CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures).
• Integration Support:
• Monitor and check for issues related to integrations with other tools such as Seclore DRM, Seclore Data Classification, and Boldon James Data Classification.
• License Management:
• Update license information on the console by following up with customers regarding renewal processes.
• Health Check and Monitoring:
• Conduct daily health checks on the Symantec DLP servers, including both the Data Center (DC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments.
• Helpdesk and Support:
• Address and resolve any helpdesk tickets related to Symantec DLP functionality.
• Assist with whitelisting users on specific DLP policies.

Seclore DRM (Digital Rights Management) / Boldon James/ Seclore Data Classification

• Policy and Classification Management:
• Create pre-defined policies and classification tags as per customer requirements.
• Define and apply classification policies for data, ensuring it is properly tagged and managed.
• Upgrade and Maintenance:
• Perform upgrades to Seclore DRM servers and agents as needed.
• Ensure the seamless functioning of Seclore DRM and Data Classification systems.
• Agent Monitoring:
• Monitor and troubleshoot the daily status and connectivity of Seclore DRM agents on the console.
• Ensure proper functioning of agent reporting and communication with the policy server.
• Data Protection and Classification:
• Monitor daily activities related to data being protected or classified according to predefined taxonomies.
• Activate or deactivate files, transfer ownership, revoke access, replace users, or modify permissions as needed.
• Audit and Policy Management:
• Manage policies and view audit logs through the Seclore DRM console.
• Create and edit classification labels, manage exceptions, and edit publishing policies in Seclore Data Classification Console.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
• Troubleshoot Seclore DRM/DC agent functionality or connectivity issues with the policy server.
• Address and resolve any issues related to product vulnerabilities, referencing CVEs.
• Integration Support:
• Ensure the functionality and performance of integrations with other technologies like Symantec DLP and Boldon James Classification.
• License Management:
• Manage user licenses for Seclore agents, creating or issuing new licenses as necessary.
• Update licenses on the console following OEM support guidance.
• Health Check and System Monitoring:
• Perform daily health checks on the system and servers, reviewing server utilization and ensuring optimal performance.
• OEM Support Follow-up:
• Coordinate with OEM support for product-related issues or user-reported problems to ensure timely resolution.
