Structural Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Planning and supervision: Planning and supervising site fabrication & erection activities for structures.
• Quality control: Ensuring quality control of the work
• Progress reporting: Reporting the progress of the work to the management and head office
• Technical documentation: Reviewing the Engineering technical documentation and requirements
• Engineering activities: Setting up and executing assigned engineering activities
• Studies and calculations: Developing studies and calculation notes for steel structures
• Technical evaluations: Assisting the procurement department in technical evaluations
• Shop drawings: Controlling the manufacturer's shop drawings and connection calculation notes
• Steel structure drawings: Supervising or approving steel structure drawings

Preferred candidate profile

• A mechanical engineering background
• Experience in structural fabrication and installation
• Good communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge
• Understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and equipment
• Experience in managing teams and schedules
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Meaning/definition/usage of IS code for structural steel
• Experience in industry safety rules & regulations.
• Exposure in international project.
• Having valid passport & USA B1/B2 VISA will be an added advantage
