Quality Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Point of contact for field issues. Lead the debugging and root cause analysis activities for field issues reported.
• In charge of driving any design change or improvement based on cross functional teams feedback. In charge of tracking the change or improvement progress until it is realized and executed.
• Be the Point of Contact for Hardware related Quality and production dependencies.
• In charge of reviewing and sharing work instructions to external vendors such as PCB and Harness.
• Point of contact and owner of ISO audits and related dependencies for Hardware team. In charging of closing any Noncompliance raised to the Hardware Team.
• Lead the validation of Schematics and PCB design as per requirement.
• Interact with cross functional teams for hardware dependencies, design realization and implementation.
• Prepare the Quality Manual designs in production to be shared with factory team and vendors.
• Interact with Purchase, Factory team, Quality team when needed to ensure production related queries are closed.
• Oversea prototype validation and system level integration for any design being implemented in products.
• Owner of documents such as Bill of Materials, Engineering change, Master Drawing Index, SoPs and Manuals.
• Carry out internal audits related to QMS and ISO with the team and for cross functional teams.
• Monitor the lab technicians for their daily tasks, work instructions and material tracking.
• Help the team in field testing and validation.

Required Skills

• Experience in working in ISO certified organizations and demonstrated working with auditors and maintaining process and documentation as per QMS and ISO requirements.
• Knowledge on ECR, ECO, ECN, FAI, LAI, NC, NCR, RRCA, MRB, FMEA, KPIS
• Experience in owning and preparing BOM, MDI, ECN, Quality Process Definition, RCA and FMEA analysis documents.
• Experience in DFM and DFA methodologies.
• Must have sound understanding of Schematics.
• Experience in interacting with EMS vendors for PCB and harness related activities for preparing and sharing work instructions and Quality requirements.
• Experience in debugging multi-layer PCBs to resolve issues.
• Experience in working with CFT members and being the point of contact with external parties.
• Proficiency in English.

Qualification

• 4 8 Years of Experience (Full time)
• Bachelor’s Degree in ECE or Diploma in Electronics.
