Job Summary:

We are looking for two PostgreSQL Database Administrators (DBAs) with 3-5 years of experience to join our IT team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for managing and optimizing PostgreSQL databases, ensuring data availability, performance, and security. The PostgreSQL DBAs will work closely with development teams to support application requirements and enhance database functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL database systems.
• Monitor database performance and implement optimization strategies.
• Perform regular backups, recovery, and data restoration tasks.
• Ensure database security and compliance with data governance policies.
• Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain database documentation, including architecture diagrams and procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL.
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
• Strong understanding of backup and recovery strategies.
• Familiarity with database security practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
