Lead Java Engineer - Java, Microservices, Vue.JS/React.js/Angular 2+

We are searching for a skilled Lead Java Engineer to join our energetic team.

The ideal candidate will utilize their expertise in Java, Microservices, and modern front-end technologies such as Vue.JS, React.js, or Angular 2+ to deliver high-quality software solutions. This role involves a blend of hands-on development, leadership responsibilities, and strategic planning to drive forward our projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance software using Java and Spring Framework in conjunction with Microservices and any cloud environment
• Engage in front-end development utilizing Vue.JS, React.js, or Angular 2+
• Optimize database interactions and integrations with PostgreSQL or Oracle
• Implement application containerization strategies and manage deployments
• Design and build robust back-end microservices and REST APIs
• Maintain and improve code quality through development, enhancement, and unit testing
• Review code actively to ensure compliance with best practices
• Uphold high standards through regular participation in code reviews, enforcing best coding practices including CI and unit testing
• Engage in Agile SCRUM ceremonies, contributing to estimation and planning sessions
• Mentor team members, fostering a collaborative environment to enhance skill-set and productivity

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in Java, preferably Java 8, and Core Java
• Background in Spring Boot and Microservices
• Skills in front-end technologies including any of Vue.JS, React.js, Angular 2+
• Understanding of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Knowledge of cloud environments
• Competency in SQLServer or similar database management systems
• Familiarity with developing, testing, and maintaining RESTful web services
• Showcase of best coding practices, object-oriented design, and design patterns
• Ability to conduct thorough unit testing and perform code reviews regularly

Nice to have

• Experience with Financial Services, particularly in wealth management
• Exposure to MFE architectures
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL or Oracle database systems
