Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Lead Business Analyst with a strong focus on Data Modeling to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have ample experience in data modeling and analysis, particularly within the financial sector, for modeling financial instruments like loans and derivatives. The role requires analyzing current data models, defining new models based on updated architecture, and managing interfaces and data catalogs.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing data models for enhancement opportunities
- Define and develop new data models compatible with updated architecture
- Manage data interfaces and ensure seamless integration between models
- Design and maintain comprehensive data catalogs
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to gather and interpret requirements
- Translate business needs into technical specifications
- Drive the adoption of data-first architecture to improve time-to-market and reduce costs
- Validate new architectures and ensure they outperform previous setups
- Adapt to the constantly changing project directions and requirements
- Provide expert guidance and leadership to junior data modelers and analysts
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies
- Enforce regulatory requirements, standards, and procedures throughout data modeling processes
- 7-12 years of professional experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in OneSumX or similar risk calculation and reporting tools for banks
- Demonstrated knowledge of data used in financial modeling tools
- Background in defining physical and logical data models
- Expertise in managing large datasets and complex data structures
- Familiarity with data architecture principles and best practices
- Skills in project management and cross-functional collaboration
- Capability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and changes
- Understanding of data-first architecture benefits and implementation strategies
- Experience with regulatory requirements specific to the financial industry
- Familiarity with standards and procedures in financial data management
- Proficiency in additional data modeling tools and technologies
