SAP ABAP Consultant

Responsibilities:

• Development & Customization: Design, develop, and implement custom ABAP programs, reports, enhancements, and interfaces in S/4HANA.
• Data Migration: Participate in data migration projects using tools such as LSMW, BAPIs, and BODS, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Functional Collaboration: Work closely with functional teams (FI, CO, MM, SD, etc.) to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize existing ABAP programs for performance and efficiency in the S/4HANA environment.
• Code Review & Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards within the development team.
• Debugging & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in ABAP programs, interfaces, and enhancements, providing timely support to end-users.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for developed programs, processes, and systems.
• Training & Mentorship: Mentor junior developers and provide training on ABAP best practices and S/4HANA functionalities.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 6+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with at least 2 years focused on S/4HANA.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in ABAP programming, including Object-Oriented ABAP.
• Experience with S/4HANA-specific functionalities (e.g., CDS Views, Fiori, OData Services).
• Knowledge of data modeling in S/4HANA.
• Familiarity with SAP UI5/Fiori is a plus.
• Tools & Technologies: Experience with ABAP Workbench, Eclipse for ABAP, and relevant SAP tools.
• Certifications: SAP ABAP certification is preferred but not mandatory.
