Job Description
- Study/Review of tender documents, scope of work, drawings, BOQ, Specifications clients requirement and etc. from the tender document for proper estimating works.
- Estimation and tendering toward the electrical system in Commercial Building / Residential Schemes / Institutional Campus / Data Centres / Ware Houses / Cash n carry etc.
- Preparing technical queries for ambiguities in drawings, specifications and BOQ.
- Co ordination with quantity surveyors and material take off while doing Lumpsum projects.
- Follow up with the suppliers to obtain quotation in time, clarify to all their queries and meetings with the supplier when required.
- Technical evaluation of suppliers quotations as per tender/clients requirements.
- Pricing material and labour cost of each BOQ item in the price comparison sheets. By using the quotations and a pre-determined manpower production rates.
- Preparing Price comparison sheet for each system and final cost summary.
- Preparing BOQ unit prices as per tender BOQ format and filling.
- Check all the addendums and communications received from the client, ensuring that all items are being clarified and considered in the pricing.
- Responsible for submitting the tender on time.
- Monitors and stores the costs to improve the accuracy of future pricing.
- Preparing Qualifications, Assumptions and exclusions if any.
- Preparing price analysis, proposed vendor list, data sheet and qualifications as applicable.
- Prepare value engineering. When required/permitted.
- Attend pre tender meetings with clients/PMS/Consultants.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining the quality management system for estimation work.
- Working as a team and provided expert resolution of electrical system as best as possible for the Client.
- Designed and implemented custom electrical systems for various clients as stable power, proper utilization, power saving, easy operation and maintenance and can be expandable in future.
- Co ordination with Design team, finance team and planning team for preparing the bid document.
- Additional BOQ (Bill of Quantities) items and scope for the incorporation and inclusion within a tender offer.
- Develop and facilitate RFPs, analyse responses, negotiate, and use other techniques as required to obtain the expected results.
- Collaborate with management in the negotiation of contracts and lines of credit with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Participate at an appropriate level and frequency in all meetings.
