Cyber Security Analyst

• Role & responsibilities

• Remote Monitoring & Incident Response: Provide virtual monitoring of security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM, and antivirus platforms to detect and respond to potential security threats in real time.

• Virtual Vulnerability Management: Conduct remote vulnerability scans, analyze results, and provide actionable recommendations to mitigate vulnerabilities across on-premise and cloud environments.

• Incident Investigation & Reporting: Investigate security incidents and breaches, determine their root causes, and develop response strategies to contain and prevent future incidents. Document and report findings in accordance with incident response protocols.

• Security Solutions Management: Configure, deploy, and manage cloud-based and on-premise security solutions remotely, ensuring they are effective and up-to-date.

• Remote Risk Assessment: Perform risk assessments, security audits, and compliance reviews for remote systems, cloud applications, and remote employees to identify and mitigate potential security risks.

• Collaboration & Support: Work closely with remote teams to provide cybersecurity support and guidance, ensuring all employees follow security protocols and best practices while working from home or in a hybrid work environment.

• Security Awareness & Training: Conduct virtual security training sessions for remote employees to educate them on cybersecurity best practices, phishing prevention, and safe online behavior.

• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of security incidents, reports, and remediation efforts. Provide regular updates to management and relevant stakeholders on the security posture of the organizations remote and hybrid systems.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging threats, trends in cyberattacks, and the latest cybersecurity technologies, ensuring the organization is proactively protected from new risks in a dynamic digital landscape.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Certifications: Industry certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) are preferred.

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity and providing virtual cybersecurity support in remote work environments.
