Job Description

Design and Engineering :

Develop and review piping designs, layouts, and isometric drawings.
Optimize pipe routing, material selection, and support systems to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness.
Ensure proper integration of piping systems with equipment and other disciplines (e. g. , civil, mechanical, and electrical).

Standards and Compliance :

Ensure designs meet relevant codes and standards, such as ASME B31. 1, ASME B31. 3, API, and ISO standards.
Verify that piping systems comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and review technical documentation, including specifications, datasheets, and design reports.

Project Coordination :

Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and construction teams to ensure project alignment.
Interface with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to address technical queries and resolve issues.
Coordinate piping-related activities with other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.

Construction and Installation Support :

Support construction teams by providing technical guidance and resolving on-site issues.
Conduct site inspections to ensure proper installation of piping systems.
Develop and review test procedures, including hydrostatic, pneumatic, and leak testing.
Prepare and review piping material take-offs (MTOs) and bills of materials (BOMs).

Vendor Evaluation and Coordination :

Evaluate vendor proposals and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications.
Review and approve vendor drawings, datasheets, and calculations related to piping components (e. g. , valves, fittings, flanges, and specialty items).
Serve as the primary technical contact for piping-related vendor queries and clarifications.

Technical Review and Validation :

Ensure all vendor-supplied piping equipment meets applicable codes and standards, such as ASME B31. 3, API, ASTM, and ISO.
Perform technical reviews of vendor documentation, including material test reports, welding procedures, and non-destructive testing (NDT) procedures.
Verify material compatibility, pressure ratings, and dimensional accuracy of vendor-supplied piping components.

Collaboration with Procurement :

Assist the procurement team in preparing technical specifications, data sheets, and purchase requisitions for piping materials.
Evaluate technical bids and recommend suitable vendors based on technical compliance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct vendor pre-qualification audits and assist in finalizing purchase orders.

Quality Assurance and Inspection :

Coordinate and participate in vendor inspections, including factory acceptance tests (FAT), witness testing, and quality checks.
Review inspection and test plans (ITPs) to ensure adherence to project and industry standards.
Address and resolve any non-conformance issues identified during inspections.

Documentation and Reporting :

Maintain accurate records of vendor communications, approvals, and deviations.
Prepare reports summarizing technical evaluations, inspection findings, and recommendations.
Ensure vendor documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted within project timelines.

Worthless Policies which ensures business loss. No openness for improvement or scope for change. Majority work flow is NOT digitized hence everything is manual i.e. using emails for approvals and followups. Company can hold/ dismiss your Hike/ variable pay for few months without any rational reason.
