Engineer - Steering

1. Design and development of Steering (Hydraulic/Electric) and Front axle aggregates for small commercial platforms.
2. Deliver Steering and Front axle aggregates as per QCDW (Quality, cost, delivery, weight) for projects.
3. Resolve field / Mfg concerns
4. DFMEA, Design review, DVP generation, analysis using G8D technique
5. Vehicle level and component level DVP requirements
6. Interact with CAE, CDMM, validation for aggregate development
7. Interact with suppliers for proprietary part design and development
8. Design releases and EBOM generation in PLM.
9. Root cause analysis and concern resolution.
10. Aware of Homologation and regulatory requirements.

5 to 6 yrs

B.E / B. Tech Mechanical / Automobile, MS/MTech shall added advantage

1. Ability to design complete steering and front axle aggregates for small commercial platforms.

2. Good domain knowledge on design of different types of steering and front axle system like Manual/ EPAS/HPAS, Rigid front axle.

3. Hands on Experience on Catia, modelling/Drafting, GD&T & Team center PLM

4. Good knowledge on part and system level calculations.

5. Good knowledge on part and vehicle level DVP requirements.

6. Good knowledge on Kinematics and Compliance.

7. Knowledge on Failure analysis and problem solving.

8. Knowledge on Sheet metal, castings & forgings design & manufacturing process.

9. Knowledge on DFM,DFA,DFS

10. Knowledge on SAM (Serviceability, Accessibility & Maintenance)

11. Knowledge on Metallurgy.

12. Result orientation with execution excellence.

13. Conflict resolution and Problem solving skills and Decision Making.
