Automation Software Tester Job description

We are looking for an experienced Automation Software Tester who will have responsibility designing automation frameworks and executing them to completion. The software tester will also be responsible for designing and running test cases on individual software applications as required.

The software tester should have the ability to quickly understand the product and the business requirements. They should be able to design and execute test cases based on functional requirements as well as business scenarios (from end user perspective).

The Software Tester should have experience in the following types of testing:

• Manual testing System testing, Regression testing, Compatibility testing and Integration testing, and Automation testing of web and mobile (iOS and Android) applications.
• Automation Testing - Selenium/Appium is preferred over Java
• Mobile experience (IOS & Android) is a must-have
• Knowledge in Relational Database such as MySQL is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Interact with Project Manager and development team to understand product requirements.
• Designing test plan, test cases and executing them for functional testing based on requirements and business scenarios.
• Design test cases, write and execute scripts for performance testing.
• Ability to develop & maintain E2E automation frameworks using various tools Selenium with Java, BDD Cucumber
• Reviewing project requirements and test cases.
• Executing test cases and reporting the results to the project team.
• Meeting project deadlines
• Interacting with Project Manager and Development team to solve defects in the software.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5 years of experience in software testing.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in automation testing using tools for Mobile (iOS/Android) such as Selenium and Appium.
• Hands-on experience with the following frameworks - TestNG/BDD/Cucumber
• API & Microservices
• Should have experience in front-end web application testing.
• Experience in designing the automation scripts, script debugging, fine tuning for best performance.
• Testing Process and Methodology knowledge
• Advanced knowledge of software QA methodology.
• Advanced proficiency with requirements gathering tools.
• Advanced knowledge of project management tools and concepts.
• Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies.
• Working knowledge of testing methods.
• Working knowledge of programming.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
• Good organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset.
