- ER Data Modeling:
- Design and develop logical, physical, and conceptual data models for relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
- Define and enforce database normalization rules, relationships, and constraints to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into database schema designs.
- Document Data Modeling for NoSQL:
- Develop schemas for NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Couchbase, DynamoDB) that align with application access patterns.
- Define strategies for managing unstructured and semi-structured data.
- Optimize document designs for performance, scalability, and ease of query.
- Data Model Integration:
- Develop hybrid data modeling strategies to integrate relational and NoSQL data sources.
- Ensure data consistency and compatibility across multi-database architectures.
- Performance Optimization:
- Evaluate and enhance data models for optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with database administrators to implement indexing strategies and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Documentation and Standards:
- Maintain detailed documentation of all data models, including data dictionaries and metadata repositories.
- Define and enforce best practices and data modeling standards within the organization.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with data architects, software developers, and business teams to align data models with business goals.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members as needed.
