Role & responsibilities

• Bench work for Product Development
• Stability evaluation
• Product performance evaluation / initial attributes study
• Participation in in-house evaluations
• Pilot scale up trials
• Cost evaluations
• Safety awareness
• Well versed in cost improvement programs
• Scale up at Factory
• Claim Support Evaluations
• Product Safety evaluation
• Documentation as per protocols
• Interaction with packaging, design, brand & purchase teams
• Support to manufacturing units
• Should handle product complaints.

Preferred candidate profile

- The candidate must be technically sound and competent, have adequate knowledge of formulations, their storage/stability protocols, as well as, good understanding and hands on experience of analytical methods and procedures.

- He/She should have participated in various stages of product development such as pre-formulation, prototyping, evaluation and scale up.

- Additionally he/she should demonstrate a sound understanding of chemistry, Ayurvedic and Cosmetic regulation.

- An experience in perfumery and manufacturing of Personal care products will be an added advantage.

- Prepare and present project work in the form of presentation to the management including preparing formulation, costing and specification of new product.

Education: B.Tech/M.Tech- Cosmetic Technology; B.Sc/ M.Sc-Chemistry, B.Pharm/M.Pharm.: B.Tech/M.Tech Chemical Technology/Engineering

Experience: Min. 2-3 years of R&D experience in relevant field of Skin care (Creams, Lotion, Oils, Face and Body washes etc.) / Hair Care (Oils, Shampoo, Conditioner, styling products. Hair Masks, Serums) / Deodorants). Hands on Experience of Ecocert and Ecocert Cosmos organic formulation and certification would be added advantage.
