SAP Project & Production Planning Consultant - Support & Implementation (3-6 yrs)

Job Title : Project and Production Planning SAP Support.

Job Summary :

The Project and Production Planning SAP Support role is responsible for managing and optimizing the SAP Production Planning (PP) and Project Systems (PS) modules to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.

This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting issues, providing solutions, and supporting the day-to-day SAP PP/PS system requirements.

The role will also be responsible for contributing to project management tasks, enhancing SAP functionalities, and delivering end-user training and documentation.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP PP/PS Module Support :

- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SAP Production Planning (PP) and Project Systems (PS) modules.

- Monitor system performance and functionality to ensure smooth production operations.

- Collaborate with users to understand business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.

- Identify, analyze, and resolve SAP system issues in a timely manner.

- Implement SAP configuration changes to improve production and project workflows.

- Develop reports, dashboards, and KPIs using SAP to support production and project teams.

Project Management :

- Work closely with project teams to ensure the successful implementation of new processes or system enhancements within the SAP PP/PS modules.

- Assist in managing the project lifecycle from scoping, planning, execution, testing, and go-live activities.

- Ensure that project timelines and goals are met, providing regular status updates to stakeholders.

- Support the integration of SAP PP/PS with other SAP modules such as MM (Materials Management) and SD (Sales and Distribution).

Process Improvement :

- Analyze and evaluate production and project processes to identify areas for improvement.

- Propose and implement new solutions to streamline SAP workflows, reduce downtime, and improve efficiency.

- Stay updated on SAP system upgrades and new functionalities to ensure the organization benefits from the latest tools.

End-User Training and Documentation :

- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users to improve system usage.

- Provide ongoing support to users by resolving queries and improving their understanding of SAP PP/PS functionalities.

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to SAP processes and enhancements.

Data Management :

- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in SAP by monitoring production and project data inputs.

- Lead or participate in data cleansing and migration activities during SAP upgrades or implementations.

- Support master data maintenance activities in collaboration with the relevant departments.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

- 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Production Planning (PP) and Project Systems (PS) modules.

- Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and project management processes.

- Experience in SAP configuration and customizing PP and PS modules to meet business needs.

- Knowledge of SAP integration with other modules (e.g, MM, SD, QM).

- Experience with SAP troubleshooting and problem-solving.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications :

- SAP certification in Production Planning (PP) or Project Systems (PS).

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA.

- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management tools.

- Exposure to SAP Fiori and modern user experience (UX) tools.
