MEP HVAC Drafter Modeler

Position Title: MEP HVAC Draftsman

Department: MEP

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HVAC Draftsman to join our team. As an HVAC Draftsman, you will be responsible for creating accurate and comprehensive technical drawings that support the successful implementation of HVAC systems. Working closely with engineers and project stakeholders, you will play a key role in translating HVAC design concepts into detailed and precise drawings. Your proficiency in drafting software, knowledge of HVAC systems, and attention to detail will be crucial for the success of our projects.

Key Accountabilities

Drafting and Design:

• Generate detailed HVAC drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant drafting tools.
• Interpret HVAC design specifications and translate them into accurate technical drawings.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to incorporate design changes and updates into drawings.
• Quality Assurance:
• Conduct thorough reviews of HVAC drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
• Address any discrepancies or inconsistencies identified during the review process.
• Work collaboratively with the project team to implement feedback and revisions.
• Coordination and Communication:
• Collaborate with HVAC engineers, architects, and other team members to understand project requirements.
• Communicate effectively to ensure that drawings accurately represent the HVAC design intent.
• Participate in project meetings, providing insights and updates related to HVAC drawings.
• Adherence to Standards:
• Stay updated on industry codes, regulations, and best practices related to HVAC design and drafting.
• Ensure that all HVAC drawings comply with relevant standards and specifications.

Qualifications/Requirements

Proven experience as HVAC Draftsman

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and symbols.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes and standards related to design and drafting.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting technical drawings.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of construction processes and the ability to adapt designs to practical considerations.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.

Formal Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 Years of experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in using AutoCAD and other relevant drafting tools.
• Proven track record of successfully translating HVAC designs into accurate technical drawings.
• Experience working on [specific types of HVAC systems or projects, if applicable].
• Knowledge of HVAC codes and standards, with a commitment to staying updated on changes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt designs to practical constraints.
