Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Eligibility Verification & Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This position will be responsible for verifying patient eligibility for services and managing the A.R, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances on the claims. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a good understanding of insurance processes, and experience working in U.S healthcare .

Key Responsibilities:

Eligibility Verification:

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits via online portals, phone calls, or direct communication with insurance companies.
• Update and maintain accurate patient insurance information in the system.
• Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and medical providers regarding coverage, benefits, and any discrepancies.
• Resolve issues related to insurance eligibility, benefits, or pre-authorizations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations concerning eligibility and verification processes.

Accounts Receivable:

• Manage accounts receivable by ensuring all claims are accurately billed and payments are received promptly.
• Review unpaid or denied claims, identify reasons for non-payment, and work with insurance carriers or patients to resolve issues.
• Post insurance payments and patient payments to the system accurately.
• Follow up on outstanding claims and patient balances through phone calls, email, or written correspondence.
• Ensure timely resolution of discrepancies and billing issues to avoid delays in payment processing.
• Assist with preparing monthly accounts receivable reports and tracking the aging report.

Requirements:

• Education: Must be graduate
• Experience: Fresher or experienced in RCM can apply

• Skills:
• Knowledge of insurance verification processes and claims management.
• Strong understanding of healthcare billing and coding practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or similar).
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with insurance providers, patients, and internal departments.
• Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.
