Associate Manager / Senior Associate Manager - Data Analyst

This role will be part of the Business Intelligence COE, which is a global team that leverages technical expertise to enable Lilly to achieve our financial objectives. We support global Planning Forecasting and Reporting (PFR) to all affiliates, hubs, regions, and corporate consolidations. Over the next few years Lilly is focussing on digital transformation for current planning, forecasting, and reporting tools and technology to new cloud-based solutions. The BI Reporting and Data Analytics will play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive financial decision-making and strategic planning on a global scale.

Core Responsibilities

• Power BI Development : Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to business users.
• Data Visualization : Create visually appealing and interactive data visualizations that effectively communicate key business metrics and trends.
• Data Modelling : Develop and maintain data models, including creating relationships, hierarchies, and calculated columns/measures in Power BI.
• Data Integration : Integrate data from various sources into Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Performance Optimization : Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and usability.
• User Training and Support : Provide training and support to business users on Power BI usage and best practices.
• Collaboration : Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, incorporate feedback, and align analytical work with business objectives.
• Documentation : Create clear, comprehensive, and well-organized documentation for Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Data Governance : Ensure data governance and security standards are maintained in Power BI solutions.

Required

• 3-5 years of experience in data visualization and business intelligence, with a strong focus on Power BI.
• Strong working knowledge of visualization tools such as (Tableau and PowerBI preferred).
• Advanced working knowledge of Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.
• In-depth hands-on experience in data warehousing Redshift or any OLAP to support business/data analytics, business intelligence (BI)
• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases and Cloud Data warehouse like Redshift and Azure Lakehouse.
• Involvement in process to create clear, comprehensive, and well-organized documentation ensuring clarity, consistency, and efficiency in operations.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, incorporate feedback, and align analytical work with business objectives.
• Data Model development, additional Dims and Facts creation and creating views and procedures, enable programmability to facilitate Automation.
• Experience building and optimizing big data data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Strong analytic skills related to working with structured and unstructured datasets.

Preferred Qualifications/Expertise

• Experience with other data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and big data technologies.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or R.

Education :

• Bachelor s degree on Technology and Computer Science background
• Master s in business administration (MBA) (Additional Advantage)
