Job Description
An SAP FIRAR (Revenue Accounting and Reporting) Support Consultant is a specializedprofessional responsible for providing support, maintenance, and enhancement ofSAP FI RAR solutions. This role involves working closely with finance andaccounting teams to ensure the efficient and effective use of SAP FI RARmodules, addressing any issues, and implementing improvements to meet businessrequirements.
Key Responsibilities:
System Support and Maintenance:
1. Provide day-to-day support for SAPFI RAR modules.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve issuesrelated to SAP FI RAR functionalities.
User Assistance and Training:
1. Assist end-users with functionalqueries and issues related to SAP FI RAR.
2. Conduct training sessions andworkshops to enhance user knowledge and proficiency in using SAP FI RARmodules.
3. Develop and update user manuals,training materials, and documentation.
Configuration and Customization:
1. Configure and customize SAP FI RARmodules to meet specific business requirements.
2. Customize SAP FI RAR functionalitiesto align with organizational processes and policies.
3. Collaborate with technical teams toimplement custom developments and enhancements.
Business Process Analysis and Improvement:
1. Analyze current revenue accountingprocesses and identify areas for improvement.
2. Work with business stakeholders togather requirements and translate them into SAP FI RAR solutions.
3. Implement best practices and processoptimizations to enhance revenue accounting operations.
Project Participation:
1. Participate in SAP FI RAR Supportand upgrade projects.
2. Assist in project planning,execution, and monitoring to ensure successful delivery of SAP FI RARsolutions.
3. Coordinate with cross-functionalteams to ensure seamless integration of SAP FI RAR with other SAP modules andsystems.
Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:
1. Ensure that SAP FI RARconfigurations and processes comply with regulatory requirements and internalpolicies.
2. Support internal and external auditsby providing necessary documentation and information.
3. Monitor and manage compliance with revenuerecognition standards (eg, IFRS 15, ASC 606).
Reportingand Analysis:
1. Develop and maintain reports anddashboards to provide insights into revenue accounting operations.
Continuous Improvement:
1. Stay updated with the latest SAP FIRAR features, functionalities, and industry trends.
2. Proactively identify opportunitiesfor system enhancements and process improvements.
3. Participate in knowledge-sharingactivities and contribute to the development of best practices within theorganization.
TechnicalSkills:
1. Proficiency in SAP FI RAR modules.
2. Strong understanding of SAPconfiguration and customization.
3. Knowledge of integration pointsbetween SAP FI RAR and other SAP modules (eg, FI, CO, SD).
Analytical Skills:
1. Ability to analyze complex businessprocesses and translate them into SAP solutions.
2. Strong problem-solving skills andattention to detail.
Communication Skills:
1. Ability to effectively communicatewith technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience:
Several years of experience working with SAP FI RAR modules in Support / Rollout Projects.
