Who are we looking for
The role is responsible for supporting and enhancing the current IT infrastructure, applications, and communications, primarily onsite support for the Chennai site, but also serving other sites in the region as required. This person acts as the face of IT for the supported sites
The candidate will be responsible for continuation of day-to-day operations and work closely with the helpdesk, global infrastructure application, and program management teams to resolve issues. They will work closely with business and IT to specify and implement future enhancements on supported sites and communicate changes.
What will you be doing
The role includes ticket handling, desktop support, WAN, LAN, telecom, servers, storage, network infrastructure (switches, routers, etc.), desktop support and deployment, virtualisation, security updates and patching. Responsible for specification, procurement, and replacement of IT equipment.
Who are You
10+ years Desktop/Network support work experience
Understanding of business processes
Good English language
Ability to work with third-party vendors.
What competencies will you need
Windows desktop and server experience required.
Microsoft Active Directory
Servers and virtualization (Hyper-V, VMWare)
Communications: LAN, WAN, PBX systems, Mobile and MS-Teams
Productivity Tools such as Microsoft Office
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Team-oriented
Ability to explain or present complex technical information clearly to non-IT users.
Analytical and problem-solving skills
