Job Description
Lead engineer should have the ability to take the total overall responsibility of the electrical system for Onshore and Offshore Oil & Gas Installations right from conceptualization to commissioning including troubleshooting, working and coordinating with projects official from different disciplines. He shall demonstrate excellent project management and supervision skills along with excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Developing fit for purpose concept and specification for electrical system for procurement.
- Analysing technical drawings, interpreting specifications, and determining the electrical requirements of a given project.
- Liaising with other engineers and clients to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
- Managing and monitoring all assigned electrical projects.
- Taking responsibility for commissioning of the electrical system.
- Completing quality assurance on all electrical components and projects and writing up reports.
- Conversant with CAD software to draft designs.
- Analyzing and approving various construction and engineering plans.
- Diagnosing problems and troubleshooting equipment.
- Ensuring all deadlines and budgetary requirements are met.
- Keeping abreast of the latest developments in electrical engineering.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Acquaintance with HV / MV / LV systems, DGMS or other applicable compliances for electrical systems.
- CAD software and MS Office shall be preferred.
- 10 - 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical industry.
- Experience in engineering and project management.
Additional:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with use of Electrical Engineering software like E-Tap.
- A sound understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Excellent time management and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work in a team and always remain professional.
