Power Electronics Engineer - Magnetics

Role & responsibilities

1. Design and Development : Design, develop, and test new transformer products, including power transformers, distribution transformers, and specialty transformers.

2. Product Improvement : Analyze and improve existing transformer products to increase efficiency, reliability, and performance.

3. Testing and Validation : Plan and execute tests to validate the performance of new and improved transformer products.

4. Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure that new products meet customer requirements and are manufactured efficiently.

5. Documentation : Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and product manuals.

6. Regulatory Compliance : Ensure that all new and improved products comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical / Electronic or a related field.

2. Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience in magnetics / transformer design, development, and testing.

3. Skills : Strong knowledge of transformer design principles, electromagnetic theory, and electrical engineering. Proficiency in CAD design tools, such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks will be an added advantage.

4. Certifications : Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent.

5. Soft Skills : Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
